Musculoskeletal Model to Evaluate Muscle Forces During Namba Walking

چکیده
Namba walking style, known as a movement that reduces rotational around the pelvic cross-section, was used in ancient Japan. This study of five participants conducted to investigate differences between normal and use musculoskeletal model analyze walking. Moreover, three-dimensional motion analysis system force plates were assess Measured data analyzed using software (OpenSim) procedures: scaling, inverse kinematics, dynamics, static optimization. Results indicated four muscle forces related upper leg decreased, whereas two lower increased.

An Integrated Musculoskeletal-Finite-Element Model to Evaluate Effects of Load Carriage on the Tibia During Walking.
Prior studies have assessed the effects of load carriage on the tibia. Here, we expand on these studies and investigate the effects of load carriage on joint reaction forces (JRFs) and the resulting spatiotemporal stress/strain distributions in the tibia. Using full-body motion and ground reaction forces from a female subject, we computed joint and muscle forces during walking for four load car...
متن کاملHuman Leg Model Predicts Muscle Forces, States, and Energetics during Walking
Humans employ a high degree of redundancy in joint actuation, with different combinations of muscle and tendon action providing the same net joint torque. Both the resolution of these redundancies and the energetics of such systems depend on the dynamic properties of muscles and tendons, particularly their force-length relations. Current walking models that use stock parameters when simulating ...
متن کاملAn EMG-driven musculoskeletal model to estimate muscle forces and knee joint moments in vivo.
This paper examined if an electromyography (EMG) driven musculoskeletal model of the human knee could be used to predict knee moments, calculated using inverse dynamics, across a varied range of dynamic contractile conditions. Muscle-tendon lengths and moment arms of 13 muscles crossing the knee joint were determined from joint kinematics using a three-dimensional anatomical model of the lower ...
متن کاملChanges in tibiofemoral forces due to variations in muscle activity during walking.
Muscles induce large forces in the tibiofemoral joint during walking and thereby influence the health of tissues like articular cartilage and menisci. It is possible to walk with a wide variety of muscle coordination patterns, but the effect of varied muscle coordination on tibiofemoral contact forces remains unclear. The goal of this study was to determine the effect of varied muscle coordinat...
متن کاملMechanical forces during muscle development
Muscles are the major force producing tissue in the human body. While certain muscle types specialize in producing maximum forces, others are very enduring. An extreme example is the heart, which continuously beats for the entire life. Despite being specialized, all body muscles share similar contractile mini-machines called sarcomeres that are organized into regular higher order structures cal...
